Akhnoor, 5th January: Jai Maa Surbhi Gau Samiti Trust Akhnoor on Friday organized a review meeting of the Gaushala. During the meeting, the functioning of the Gaushala and the necessary development works for the future were discussed and some important decisions were also taken unanimously. During the event, former minister Sham Lal Sharma, Mahant Keshav Shastri, Pandit Subhash Shastri, Sarpanch Shamsher Singh, Sarpanch Jagdish Sharma, Sarpanch Ganesh Das, Sarpanch Manga Ram, Ex councilor Rakesh Malhotra, Ex councilor Khema Devi and many prominent people from Akhnoor city and villages were present. The members of Jai Maa Surabhi Gau Samiti Trust informed all the people present in the meeting about the work done in the GauShala in the last months. Committee members informed that at present there are about 100 cows in the Gaushala, for whose cooperation and support from everyone is needed. The committee members demanded a regular roster of veterinary doctors for the cows present in the Gaushala so that the sick cows can get treatment from time to time. The committee members expressed their gratitude for the service provided by Akhnoor Municipality and Akhnoor Veterinary Hospital and raised the demand for such cooperation in future also. During the meeting, the committee members and people discussed the construction of additional sheds for the growing number of cows, raising the boundary wall of Gaushala, recurring revenue for the smooth functioning of the Gaushala etc. Former Minister Sham Lal Sharma, present on this occasion, said that the work of serving the bovines rescued from bovine smugglers and the abandoned and helpless bovines in Akhnoor city is highly commendable and for this he would like to thank Jai Maa Gau Surbhi Gau Samiti and all the people who are supporting them. He said that the local administration and police have also played a very important role in starting the Gaushala. He expressed his views on many important issues during meeting and requested everyone to contribute to this noble cause. He assured the committee of all possible cooperation from his side for the development and regular work of the Gaushala. He said that more like minded people from Akhnoor city and villages, should be included in the Gaushala Committee so that everyone can do this noble work together. He assured everyone that he will raise the issues pertaining to medical facilities etc with the higher officials of the concerned departments and will get them resolved soon. Mahant Keshav Shastri and Pandit Subhash Shastri while speaking on the occasion said that cow has a revered place in Hindu religion and it is believed that even the biggest suffering can be overcome just by serving mother cow. They said that 33 Koti Gods and Goddesses reside in the cow. It is believed that by serving the cow all the Gods and Goddesses are pleased. They requested everyone to come and serve the Gaushala on the occasion of their birthday, festival etc. and notice how their life becomes pleasant. During this, all the religious lovers present in the review meeting filled the membership form of Jai Maa Surabhi Gau Samiti Trust and obtained the official membership of the committee and also assured of proper guidance and cooperation for the development and regular functioning of the Gaushala. The arrangement of the meeting was done by Jai Maa Surbhi Gau Samiti Akhnoor founder Rajinder Singh, members Gaurav Sharma, Karn Sharma, Rimpi Singh, Shiv Sharma, Sushil Sharma, Anav Gupta, Bobby Sharma, Sat Sharma, Rabia Khajuria, Sandeep Singh Sonu. During the meeting, members of NGO Team Umeed Anmol Sharma, Siddharth Mahajan, Tannu Thapa, Sham Magotra, Manish Gupta took charge of the membership arrangement. In the meeting, Suresh Gupta, Pawan Sharma, Jimmy Manni, Jagdev Singh, Mohan Sharma, Pitambar Singh, Anil Sharma, DN Abrol, Balak Ram, Soni Sharma, Mohani Pandit, Raghuveer Singh, Monu Verma, Arun Chib, Kuldeep Singh, Sonia Verma. Many intellectuals including Raj Kumar, Sham Magotra were present.
