Jammu, Jan 05:- A massive party workers meet of Congress held here today which was addressed by newly appointed in_charge of the Jk UT, Shri Bharat Sinh Solanki ,former union minister,who was  accompanied byv G A Mir AICC Gen Sec. and party president Vikar Rasool Wani besides other top leaders. There was immense enthusiasm over the presence of these senior leaders in Jammu today. Hundreds of party workers and leaders gathered at Jammu airport on Solanki’s arrival and accorded rousing welcome to him, Mir and other senior leaders.
Subsequently, in a big program of workers in Pata Bohri Kashmir Hills resort,  Solanki made it clear that in the coming days, Congress will enter the field with great determination and the party will move forward taking every grassroots worker into confidence. Bharat Solanki was present as the chief guest in this organized program while former party president G.A. Mir and current president Vikar Rasool  Wani presided over which was attended by Tariq Karra, CWC member,AICC Jt. Sect. Manoj Yadav  & others.
Solanki said in his address that today the country is not in safe hands and the end of the politics of dividing people in the name of caste and religion is near. Taking on BJP, he said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are feeling cheated. Reacting to the abrogation of Article 370, he said that earlier BJP used to ask the people of Jammu to clap and play thali and BJP’s politics of regions has divided the mutual brotherhood of Jammu and Kashmir. Solanki claimed that today the people of Jammu have been deprived of their rights. Citing unemployment, corruption, inflation and increasing drug addiction, Solanki said that the BJP has turned the city of temples into a city of liquor and mining mafia. Referring to the skyrocketing fares in the name of smart meters, BJP’s so-called anti-encroachment campaign and illegal toll plazas, Solanki said that today the common man of Jammu is well aware of the fact that BJP has done nothing except harassing and harassing the people.
 Pointing towards the bureaucracy prevailing in the bureaucracy at present, he said that on one hand assembly elections have not come in the state for nine years and on the other hand delimitation has been done arbitrarily and as per convenience so that BJP can get political advantage. He said that today the common people want to elect their representatives whereas the appointed Lieutenant Governor is calling the elections as meaningless by forcefully quoting the people here. In his address to the workers and leaders present in the program, Solanki made it clear that the time has come when as a party every single worker has to approach the masses with the policies of the party. Emphasizing on mutual coordination and harmony, Solanki said that today the entire country is considering India alliance as the only hope. Apart from Solanki, Ex president and senior All India Congress Committee leader G.A. Mir also addressed the gathering.
JKPCC chief Vikar clearly said in his address that BJP is avoiding elections because it knows what its ground reality is. Firstly, on the cancellation of the proposed elections of the corporation and now on the completion of the tenure of the Panchayati representatives, Vikar said that today the people here are not heard anywhere and the officers in the government departments are running the system in an abnormal way.
.Mir also took the BJP to task in his address and said that now the time has come that Congress, which has been playing the role of a strong opposition, should come to the central stage and the people can be saved from their present miseries. Party’s working president Raman Bhalla and former minister, Ex Dy CM Tara Chand, Mula Ram, Balwan Singh,Yogesh Sahni, Manmohan Singh also said in their address to the workers that now the time has come when every party worker will have to fight this battle as a party. Other leaders present at the event  included co-incharge Manoj Yadav, AICC secretary  senior vice president and chief spokesperson Ravindra Sharma, GN Monga, TS Bajwa, Neeraj Kundan, Ved Mahajan, Naresh Gupta, Yashpal Kundal, SS Channi, Rajneesh Sharma, Sain Rashid, Vinod Sharma, Pranab Shagotra ,Narinder Gupta,Narinder Sharma Shashi Sharma,Pawan Raina, T S Tony, and many other former ministers, former MLAs / MLCs and other frontal heads,DCC presidents etc.
