January 07: Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals at Ferozpora Nallah Kunzer & Shrai Tangmarg Baramulla, Police seized 06 vehicles and arrested their drivers.
Police parties under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg assisted by SHO PS Kunzer & SHO PS Tangmarg seized 06 vehicles (3 Tippers & 3 Tractors) and arrested their drivers identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Shah son of Gh Nabi resident of Takiya Batpora, Fayaz Ahmad Rather son of Gh Rasool resident of Ogmuna, Abdul Majeed Sheikh son of Abdul Rahim resident of Mangloora, Tawfeeq Malik son of Ab Rashid resident of Tumberhama, Mehraj ud din Ganie son of Ab Aziz resident of Hard Ichloo & Mukhtar Khan son of Fareed Ahmad Khan resident of Check Treran. They were involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations and investigation have been initiated.
People are requested not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules. Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law.
