Kathua, 15 January; Acting sternly against the drugs menace and its propagators within District, Kathua Police sucessfully arrested one person in the jurisdiction of PP Hatli and recovered 22 Bottles of Wincerex Cough Syrup (Codeine Phosphate & Triprolidine Hyrdochloride) like contraband from his possesion which got seized on spot.
On 14.01.2024 as the information received from the reliable source that one person namely 1. Karan Singh S/o Lekh Raj R/o Ward No. 03 Dhanna Lakhanpur Tehsil & District Kathua who was involved in Smuggling of Wincerex(Codeine Phosphate) like contraband and coming from Hatli Morh towards Barmora Link Road Sabzi Mandi on foot by carrying intermediate quantity of contraband Wincerex (Codeine Phosphate) in his possession.Acting on tip off a police party of PP Hatli led by IC PP Hatli under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua and SHO PS Kathua laid a special naka/checking at said area and apprehended said person who was roaming under suspicious circumstances.On thorough checking, 22 Bottles of “Wincerex” (Codeine Phospate & Triprolidine Hydrochloride Syrup) 100 ml each were recovered from his illegal possession. Thereafter said person was arrested alongwith recovered 22 “Winicerex” Bottles which were seized on spot. In this regard a case FIR No. 17/2024 U/S 08/21/22/NDPS Act registered at PS Kathua and further investigation taken up.
