Indian Army in its continuous efforts to motivate the youth has undertaken a variety of programmes. In continuing with the same spirit, the Army organised a lecture on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti motivating the resident youth to join Indian Armed Forces at Shergwari and Gahan. It was highlighted during the lecture that students having passion for adventure, excitement and a temperament for challenges can fulfill their desires and expectations by espousing a career in the Defence Services. The School Children also proved their physical as well as painting skills by participating in Inter School Painting Competition on the theme of “Unity”. The populace especially the civil dignitaries school children and the teachers applauded the efforts of the Indian Army and expressed their gratitude for organising an event of such magnitude. Celebration of Guru Ravidas Jayanti was a true manifestation of the national spirit among the residents and the bonhomie that exists between the Armed Forces and the resident population. A total of 70 students attended the lecture.
