Indian Army organised an interactive workshop with Village Defence Committee (VDC) members of Reasi. During the workshop, the members displayed their training prowess and skills in weapon handling. The Army unit assisted all the members of VDC in further improving their self defence capabilities and laid emphasis on the role of Village Defence Committee. A lecture cum demonstration on weapon handling and cleaning, musketry and minor repairs of weapons was conducted as part of the workshop. The event was also utilized to exchange views on role of VDC members including motivating youngsters for joining defence services & stay away from Narcotics. A total of 30 VDC members were present during the workshop.
