JAMMU, JANUARY 12: Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Chairman Board of Directors, Jammu Smart City Limited, Ramesh Kumar today chaired the 16th Board meeting of JSCL here at JSCL office.
During the Board meeting, Rahul Yadav, CEO, JSCL presented the Agenda items before the Board for discussion, ratification and approval.
The Div Com reviewed the progress made under the Tawi Riverfront Development Project and directed the concerned officials to resolve inter departmental issues for early completion of the project. He further desired to hold a detailed review meeting on the progress made under the said project.
The Div Com directed the concerned officials to hold regular meetings of all stakeholders to monitor the progress and expedite removal of bottlenecks, if any.
The Board also discussed the sustainability, maintenance and regulation of projects completed under Smart City Mission such as Integrated Command Control Centre, Integrated Traffic Management System, eBuses.
Reviewing implementation of different components, the Div Com inquired about the functioning of smart classes in the Schools built under Jammu Smart City Limited. The progress made under other JSCL projects like Heritage Trail from Mubarak Mandi Complex to Raghunath Nazar was also reviewed.
The meeting was attended by ADC Jammu, VC JDA, Director, Archives, Archaeology and Museum, SSP Traffic Jammu, officials from JSCL, PWD, Tourism, Education, Irrigation and Flood Control and concerned departments.

DC Rajouri discusses Action plan at District Level Export Promotion Committee Meeting
RAJOURI, JANUARY 12: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat presided over a crucial meeting of the District Level Export Promotion Committee here today. The primary focus was on the approval of the District Export Action Plan (DEAP), meticulously prepared by the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO).
The General Manager DIC, the Convener of the Committee, welcomed all members and outlined the agenda of the meeting.
Discussions centered on formulating a comprehensive and effective district export action plan, with a special emphasis on the dairy and walnut sectors. Committee members shared insights, expertise, and recommendations to align the action plan with the objectives of the district
The Deputy Commissioner underscored the importance of cooperative efforts and coordination among stakeholders in the export sector. He emphasized the need for synergy among government departments, financial institutions, trade organizations, and exporters to create an enabling environment for promoting exports. The Deputy Commissioner also stressed harnessing the unique resources and capabilities of the district to maximize opportunities in dairy and walnut exports.
In a significant development, the district export plan for dairy and walnut was approved during the meeting. The Deputy Commissioner expressed confidence that this approval would enhance the export potential of Rajouri district, contributing to its economic progress and prosperity.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also discussed 59 cases under PMVKSY (Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana). The PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana holds immense significance in preserving and nurturing India’s rich cultural heritage of traditional craftsmanship, providing crucial financial support to artisans and enabling them to pass on their age-old skills to future generations. Under this transformative initiative, eligible artisans are granted financial assistance, technical training, and exposure to modern markets, thus ensuring the preservation of their livelihoods and our cultural heritage.
Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat emphasized the importance of a streamlined application process, transparent fund distribution, and robust monitoring mechanisms. By ensuring effective implementation and monitoring, the Deputy Commissioner aims to ensure that the benefits of the Vishwakarma Yojana reach every eligible artisan in the Rajouri district, contributing to inclusive growth and cultural enrichment
