Jammu, January 25:- As part of out reach campaign of the party, the AICC Coordinator Udhampur Lok Sabha & Senior Vice President & Chief Spokesperson PCC Mr Ravinder Sharma visited Hiranagar & different parts in Kathua district & asked party cadres to strengthen grass root units especially booth & block units of the party in the run up to the Lok Sabha polls.
Sharma interacted with senior leaders,DCC & block Presidents & frontal wings leaders & also met ailing Congress leader & Ex- MLA Girdhari Lal Chalotra at his residence in Hiranagar . A number of SC, ST and OBC and kisaan & ex servicemen leaders also met Mr Sharma and shared their views & hardships.
Ex Servicemen representatives strongly opposed the agniveer scheme and demanded regular recruitment to army. Trade union leaders demanded old pension scheme for employees besides to the old age, handicapped and widows.. Kissan leaders raised the issue of Exorbitant taxation of 28 % ( GST) on agriculture tractors and other appliances by BJP.
Accompanied by PCC General Secretary Incharge Kathua district Shashi Sharma besides District President Pankaj Dogra PCC general secretary Naresh Sharma Ex- Chairman MC Kathua,JK Youth Congress President Akash , Kulbhushan Kumar Ex- Chairman Nagri, Nirdosh Sharma, Pankaj Sharma, Parmjit Singh, Ravinder Singh Neta, Pawan Sharma,Sat Pal Bhandari, Narinder Khajuria Adv Rakesh Sharma, Romesh Kundal, Yog Raj, Tarsem Saini, Kulbir Singh, Karan Singh Mukhtiar Ahmed Arun Mehta, Des Raj,Jaswant Singh, Raman Thapa Ganishyam, Rakesh Khajuria, Sohan Lal ,Bodh Raj,Mast Ram Dogra,capt Anchal Dass & ors, Mr Sharma addressed series of workers meetings.
Sharma advised Senior leaders and prominent workers to volunteer themselves for their respective booth levels duties to convey a stong message to grass roots workers. It’s the party and workers who fight the election’s & not only the candidate, so be ready to give big fight & defeat BJP.
He said BJP should clear it’s stand on restoration of statehood, protection of land, jobs and natural resources of J&K besides non holding of assembly election’s for five & half years .
