UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 06: The District Administration Udhampur on Saturday orchestrated a comprehensive cleanliness cum sanitation drive across all Municipal wards and Blocks, aiming to heighten awareness about cleanliness. The initiative is being executed under the vigilant supervision of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai.
The drive, led by Additional District Development Commissioner Ghan Sham Singh, featured the active participation of Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, various departmental officers/ officials, and stakeholders. Commencing with a spirited march from Domail Chowk to Slathia Chowk Udhampur, the drive sought to instill a sense of responsibility towards cleanliness.
Emphasizing the vital role of cleanliness and personal hygiene, the ADDC urged participants to uphold cleanliness in their surroundings and inspire others to do the same.
Additionally, he advocated for abandoning the use of polythene, promoting hygiene practices, and safeguarding water resources to preserve the district’s environment. Expressing gratitude to all participants, ADDC called for continued collaboration with the District Administration in future cleanliness endeavors.
The District Administration Udhampur has designated Prabhari Officers, each responsible for organizing cleanliness drives and activities in their assigned wards and blocks. Scheduled to occur on the first Saturday of every month from 8 AM to 10 AM, these efforts aim to enhance cleanliness within Municipalities and throughout all Blocks in the Udhampur District.
