Jammu : An information was received at PS RS Pura regarding one bootlegger selling illicit liquor in the area under the jurisdiction of PS RS Pura.
After this special police teams of PS RS Pura led by SHO PS RS Pura while on naka duty at Agra Chak rounded up a suspected person. During search, 53 bottles of illicit liquor of JK special Whiskey got recovered from his possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 09/2024 U/S 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at PS RS Pura and accused person got arrested. The accused person was later identified as :- Tarun Sharma @ Tanu S/o Mahesh Chander R/o Ram Nagar Basti, Badyal Brahmana Tehsil R.S Pura District Jammu.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
