IG Registration presides over VBSY cum Block Diwas programme at Kangan

GANDERBAL, JANUARY 10: Inspector General (IG) of Registration, J&K, Sheikh Arshad Ayub today visited Kangan, and presided over an impressive Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) Programme and Block Diwas organized in the Block Conference Hall Kangan.

Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir; Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; Assistant Commissioner Development,  Chief Planning Officer, ACR Ganderbal, SDM Kangan, SDPO Kangan besides district and sectoral officers were present on the occasion.

The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of civil society members and locals.

During the programme, several departments underscored the significance of various welfare schemes pertaining to their concerned departments.

An Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) van was utilized to showcase remarkable success stories of beneficiaries thriving under multiple schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), UMEED, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kissan), Poshan Abhiyan, and others.

On the occasion, various government departments had set up stalls, presenting a visual narrative of the numerous schemes and programs actively being implemented in the district.

The ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani’ segment showcased impactful firsthand accounts from beneficiaries, highlighting the tangible benefits and positive changes brought about by the government welfare programs.

Addressing the gathering, IG Registration underscored the transformative impact of government flagship schemes on citizens’ lives and appreciated the district administration for its endeavors and achieving saturation under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes.

Encouraging all to avail benefits of welfare schemes, he emphasized the necessity for united efforts across society to realize the vision of a developed Bharat by 2047.

On the occasion, the DC highlighted the developmental achievements registered and progress achieved under several Centrally Sponsored Schemes.

He said that the primary aim of this concerted effort is to bridge information gaps and ensure that citizens are well-informed about the multitude of benefits and assistance programs made by the Government of India available to them.
